Persona Protocol

It began subtly, as all good horrors do. A government initiative, wrapped in the shimmering foil of convenience and security: The Persona Protocol. No more lost wallets, no more identity theft, no more cumbersome paperwork. Just a simple, subcutaneous implant, linked to an omnipresent digital twin – your ‘Aura,’ as they called it. Your Aura would contain everything: your medical history, financial records, employment status, even your deepest, most private preferences, all secured by quantum encryption and accessible with a thought. Elias Thorne, a graphic novelist who found solace in the messy, analog world of ink and paper, saw the cracks from the start. He clung to his fading plastic ID, his grubby cash, his unmonitored routes. He was one of the ‘old-ways,’ a relic in a world rushing headlong into seamless integration. But the world had a way of leaving relics behind. First, it was mandatory for employment. Then, for healthcare. Finally, for basic sustenance. Supermarkets, publ...

Womens Rugby World Cup Final 2025

Women's Rugby World Cup final Canada (8) 13 Tries: Hogan-Rochester 2 Pen: De Goede England (21) 33 Tries: Kildunne, Cokayne, Matthews 2, Ward Cons: Harrison 4 England produced a dominant performance to defeat Canada at Twickenham and win the Women's Rugby World Cup for a third time. In front of a record women's rugby crowd of 81,885, the Red Roses, who had lost the previous two finals to New Zealand, laid that ghost to rest with an assured display built on their power up front and ferocious defence. The defeat by the Black Ferns in the previous World Cup final three years ago remains England's last loss as they extended their record winning run to 33 games.

New Journey

Never thought I would experience a sense of imposter syndrome going to a new gym to train but that's what I got the other day.It made me think about the differences between a strength gym and a leisure centre gym.It made feel like this was the last journey in my training as if honest I knew deep down in side.I will see how it goes after about 2 months . I shall still continue my home exercise s with limited weight s. I do it to help with my neurological and mental health issues.

Reset the poem

The world spins fast, a dizzying blur, And sometimes, friend, you lose your stir. The path you thought was straight and true, Bends, breaks, and leaves you feeling blue. The weight of worries, big and small, Can build a dam, and make you fall. The engine sputters, runs on fumes, Lost in silent, shadowed rooms. But don't despair, don't lose all hope, There's strength inside, you just must cope. A chance to breathe, a moment still, To climb back up, against the hill. Imagine now, a tiny seed, Planted deep, a silent need. It sheds its shell, its outer skin, A brand new life, beginning within. Like that small seed, you too can shed The layers of the words unsaid, The burdens carried, year by year, The doubts and anxieties held so dear. Think of a computer, old and slow, Where programs crash, and data won't flow. What do you do? You know the drill, You hit the button, stand quite still. A moment blank, a silent screen, A chance for something fresh and keen. A clean slate wa...

Reset

Well now yet again in life I going yet another reset which is ok as I doubt no-one cares about it apart from me.I believe as long as you are doing something it's ok as I know it helps me cope with my neurological and mental health problems I expected this is probably my final reset as due to aging it's not possible to keep doing this.

Bit Bigger than expected

Holsworthy Leisure Centre Saga

Dear Marc, Thank you for reaching out and sharing how you’re feeling. I want to sincerely apologise that your experience at Holsworthy Leisure Centre has made you feel this way. Your dedication to training over the past five years is truly commendable, and it’s important  to us that everyone feels comfortable, respected, and supported when they come to train. I’m sorry to hear about the comments regarding body odour and clothing. If we receive complaints of this nature, we always try to handle them with confidentiality and sensitivity. As far as I am aware, my duty manager took you aside and ensured you were not  overheard by other members of the public. We do need to address situations like this, and I hope you understand that. Stage 1 Diabetic Retinopathy

I just been informed I have stage 1 Diabetic Retinopathy Information -https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/diabetic-retinopathy/

Did You Know This About Gyms and Local Leisure Centre s

Yes, a gym can ask you to leave or refuse you service if your body odor is offensive and you fail to address it, as it violates gym rules and etiquette regarding personal hygiene. While it's a delicate issue to address, gyms have a responsibility to maintain a pleasant environment for all members, and extreme body odor can create a "zone of repulsion" that negatively impacts the experience of other gym-goers.  Why Gyms Can Take Action Member Experience: A gym is a shared public space, and excessive body odor can be distracting and unpleasant for other members, potentially making them feel uncomfortable and even sick.  Rules and Etiquette: Most gyms have an unspoken or explicit policy that members should practice proper hygiene. Failing to do so can be seen as a breach of these rules.  Duty of Care: Gyms have a responsibility to ensure a welcoming and hygienic environment for everyone, and they may need to intervene when one member's hygiene significantly impacts oth...

Body Odour

This horror story was inspired by recent events. Written by Mark Antony Raines  The first whispers began subtly, like the rustle of leaves on a windless day. Elias Vance, a man once defined by neatness and an almost fastidious personal hygiene, dismissed them initially. A bad batch of detergent, perhaps. A lingering smell from the gym. But the whispers, like the scent itself, grew bolder, clinging to him like a second skin. It started in the office. People subtly shifting in their chairs when he approached. The way conversations would falter, then resume in hushed tones after he passed. The lifted eyebrows, the quick coughs disguised as clearing throats. Elias, perpetually self-aware, began to notice. He’d catch a whiff – faint at first, then undeniable – a cloying, sour note that seemed to emanate directly from his own pores. He doubled down on his routine. Showers grew longer, hotter, almost scalding. He scrubbed with abrasive sponges, with industrial-strength soaps, until ...

Email sent to Local council

I went training at Holsworthy Leisure Centre something I have been doing for over 5 years plus. During my training a member of staff informed me that they had received complaints from some of the members that I have body Odour Issues and then to rub salt into the wound so to speak I was told I need to wear smarter cleaner clothes. This me feel not very good about myself. I use training to help with my neurological and mental health issues.I have decided I no longer wish to train at this leisure centre due to in my opinion unfair treatment.

Gym Doubts

Recently I was told at my local leisure centre I thier had complaints from fellow members about my body odour and said I needed to wear smarter clothes.I never been told this before in all my years at said centre but I will try to do something although I don't think I have this problem as they could do the following  Yes, a gym can ask you to leave or stop training if your body odor is a persistent and offensive issue, as it violates the gym's etiquette and can create an unpleasant environment for other members. While it's a sensitive issue, gyms have the right to enforce rules to maintain a comfortable atmosphere and can ask patrons to leave if their hygiene practices negatively affect others.  Update I decided to no longer going to this leisure centre due to this attitude and have sent a email to Local council and this event I don't expect nothing to happen
