Holsworthy Leisure Centre Saga
Dear Marc,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing how you’re feeling. I want to sincerely apologise that your experience at Holsworthy Leisure Centre has made you feel this way. Your dedication to training over the past five years is truly commendable, and it’s important
to us that everyone feels comfortable, respected, and supported when they come to train.
I’m sorry to hear about the comments regarding body odour and clothing. If we receive complaints of this nature, we always try to handle them with confidentiality and sensitivity. As far as I am aware, my duty manager took you aside and ensured you were not
overheard by other members of the public. We do need to address situations like this, and I hope you understand that.
You mentioned feeling that you were treated unfairly. If you’re comfortable sharing, we would really appreciate it if you could tell us more about what you considered unfair treatment. We are committed to improving and providing a welcoming environment for
everyone, and your feedback will help us with some upcoming training around this.
Please know that your decision to step back is completely understandable, and we respect your feelings. If you ever wish to discuss this further or if there’s anything we can do to support you, I am here to listen.
Thank you again for your honesty, and I wish you all the best in your health and fitness journey moving forward.
Kindest regards,
.
